Great West GMAC Real Estate professionals are sometimes asked by clients to answer questions regarding what is trendy in housing. Or they will ask, “Are we going big, or moving smaller?”
In a recent quest to track information on real estate statistics and trends, Sami Siddiqui, broker for Great West GMAC Real Estate noticed contradiction among the pundits of “what’s hot – what’s not” in the real estate marketplace.

How to Sink a House With a Boat
Recently a GreatWest GMAC Real Estate professional was lamenting about a couple "For Sale" signs on a home in her community. It had previously been a well kept home, but now appeared more ragged around the edges.
A real estate "For Sale" sign was hanging from the traditional post planted on the front lawn. But a smaller sign hung around the neck (or bow) of "The Unforgiven" - a large boat, moored in the driveway.

The Cyclic World of Housing
The other day, someone asked a real estate professional if they felt sorry about putting people into homes they couldn’t afford.
After being a little dumbfounded for a moment, the agent explained they didn’t think they had placed any buyers in homes, which fit that category. Many of their clients had been professional people, who had purchased nice homes with fairly traditional mortgages, at the height of the market. Struggling to Get Real
Awhile back, we posted about bidding wars going on in the arena of homes, which were priced well, and in good condition; much of this activity being fed by the CAL FHA First Time Buyer program.
While blogging we have been provided with really interesting comments from real estate professionals across the nation.
It was noted these bidding wars, aren’t just indigenous to the Greater Sacramento, El Dorado, and Placer Counties – but also other locations across America.
